THOT PORTO CESAREO – Finalestudio

HOW IT STARTED:

In 2019, Pasquale Coppola had this visionary dream of transforming a piece of land he inherited into something enjoyable by everyone. Initially called "Laguna", Pasquale's project was to create something cool and conscious at the same time, a place where people could go and get transported to another dimension. The vibe would be cool, bohemian and magic, but we wanted to work on something that could be more than another bar on the beach! We then discovered that in 1932, a statue of the egyptian god Thoth was fund in the sea next where this land lays. This gave us the inspiration to turn the "laguna" project into Thot Porto Cesareo, where for Thot we mean The House of Thoth, by imagining the journey of this entity who traveled time, space, people and culture just to find its home again into the most beautiful landscape of Salento. Another key point of the project was to create something cool but still keeping the Apulian identity strong: for this reason, the whole structure of Thot Porto Cesareo has been realized by local artisans & companies, from a plan created by Architect Egidio Muci and Interior Gloria Colazzo; Also, some amazing landscape designer (Studio Paz) were involved to plant over 180 trees and re-plant the autochthonous flora in this paradise. In the summer of 2023, Thot Porto Cesareo could finally open its doors to the public and now, one year later, The House of Thoth is still evolving and yet becoming one of the it-places in Puglia. We worked on creating what we call and Experiential Sunset Bar, and we designed experiences to let people walk in and never leave.
